The GB-500 is our long-awaited addition to the Great Basin™ family offering the same great warranty and a grease capacity of over 3,000 pounds, handling applications where a single GB-250 just isn’t enough.
It brings with it several new Schier Original features for installation and maintenance contractors. Of note, Safety Star™ is designed to save lives by preventing accidental tank entry. Each year plumbers, inspectors and children die tragically inside grease interceptors due to drowning or H2S gas inhalation. The Safety Star™ blocks entry while allowing full access for maintenance. It also clearly identifies a grease interceptor as OSHA confined space and a H2S gas hazard. Our new Flow Control Cartridge™ can be installed/cleaned from grade, eliminating the need for tank entry.
